AKAT Solution Sole Co.,Ltd ນະຄອນຫຼວງວຽງຈັນ ສປປ ລາວ
Privacy Policy (English)
Last updated and effective: 2 October 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information the HubSong app and website (hubsong.sokdee.app) collect, how and why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. HubSong is operated by AKAT Solution Sole Co.,Ltd, Vientiane, Lao PDR (“HubSong”, “we”, “us”). It applies to customers, drivers and everyone who uses our social features.
In short: we collect what we need to run rides, deliveries, payments, chat and the social feed. We share it with the person you are on a trip with and with the service providers named in section 5. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising. You can withdraw permissions or delete your account at any time.
2. Information we collect and why
Account and sign-in: your phone number, password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form), display name, and your username and email address if you add them. We send one-time codes (OTP) by SMS or email to verify your number or email and to sign you in. We use this to create, secure and recover your account and to show your name to the people you deal with.
Location: see section 3.
Trips and deliveries: pickup and drop-off points and addresses, the route, service type, fare, coupons used, status and cancellation history, and the ratings and reviews you give or receive. We use this to provide and price the service, settle payments, handle disputes and keep the platform safe.
Driver verification (KYC) and driver profile: if you apply to drive, we collect your full name, date of birth, photos of your ID card or passport, your driving licence, vehicle registration and insurance documents, photos of your vehicle, its plate number and vehicle type. Our team reviews these documents to confirm who you are and that you may drive, for passenger safety and to meet legal requirements. Customers see your name, vehicle type, plate number, rating and whether you are verified.
Wallet, top-ups and payouts: wallet balance, transaction history, points and rewards; the amount and the bank transfer slip you upload when you top up; and, for drivers, the bank name, account name, account number and the bank QR code image used to pay out earnings. We use this to credit top-ups, pay drivers, keep accounting records and prevent fraud. We do not collect payment card numbers.
Chats and in-app calls: messages and photos you send in trip chats (between a customer and a driver), in private messages with other users, and in chats with HubSong support. Messages are stored on our servers so both sides can see the conversation and so we can investigate reports. In-app voice calls are connected over the internet (WebRTC) and are encrypted in transit. We do not record or store the audio of any call. We keep only a record of each call (who called whom, when, whether it was answered and how long it lasted), which appears in the chat. Your online status and when you were last active can be shown to people you chat with.
Social features: posts, reels, stories, notes and comments you publish together with their photos and videos, likes, follows and followers, reports you make, people you block or mute, and the date you accepted our Community Standards. Posts, reels, stories, notes and comments, along with your display name and username, can be seen by other HubSong users. Stories and notes are shown for 24 hours. Other users can find you by name, by your phone number if they enter it in full, and, for drivers, by the full plate number. We may suggest people you might know based on trips you have taken together and mutual follows. Reports and blocks are used to moderate content and protect users; the person you report is not told who reported them.
Support requests: the subject, description, messages and up to 6 photos or videos you attach to a request, emails you send us, and support calls (not recorded). We use this to answer you and resolve problems.
Notifications: your device's push token, the app language on that device, the notifications we have sent you, and whether you turned on “News and offers”. We use this to send trip, chat, call, account and safety notifications, and to send news and offers only if you opted in yourself (see section 9).
Device and technical data: IP address, device model, operating system, app version, language, and logs of requests and errors created when you use the app. We use this to keep the service secure and working and to fix problems.
The app uses the camera, photo library and microphone only when you use a feature that needs them (taking or choosing a photo or video, or making a call). If you turn on Face ID or fingerprint unlock, your device performs the check itself; HubSong never receives your biometric data. We do not access the contacts on your device.
3. Location
Customers: with your permission, we use your device's location while you use the app to set your pickup point, show nearby drivers and price trips, and we keep your most recent location on your account. While you have an active order, your location is sent to us every few seconds so our operations team can look after the trip. Your live location is not shared with drivers.
Drivers: while the driver app is open, your location is sent to us every few seconds. For as long as you are Online, it is also collected continuously, even when the app is in the background (iPhone shows a blue location indicator; Android shows a persistent notification), so we can offer you nearby jobs and show customers where you are during their trip. Background collection stops when you go Offline or sign out.
Sharing with the matched party: during a trip or delivery, the customer (and anyone they share a trip link with) sees the driver's live location. The driver sees only the customer's pickup and drop-off points, not the customer's live location.
Trip links: if you share a trip link, anyone with the link can see the trip's status, pickup and drop-off points, and the driver's name, vehicle type, plate number and live location until the link expires or you stop sharing.
Our team: HubSong operations staff can see live locations on a monitoring map to support trips and handle safety issues. Stored location points are deleted automatically after 90 days.
4. How we use information
To provide rides, deliveries, the wallet, chat, calls, the social feed and customer support.
To verify drivers, prevent fraud and misuse, moderate content and keep users safe.
To contact you about orders, your account and safety, and to send news or offers only if you opted in.
To maintain the app, diagnose problems and improve it.
To comply with the law, keep accounting records and respond to lawful requests.
We use your information to provide the service you ask for, to meet legal obligations and to keep users safe. For location, camera, photos, microphone, notifications and news and offers, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time as described in section 9. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
5. Who can see or receive your information
People you interact with: the other party on your trip, people you chat or call with, users who see your social content, and anyone with a trip link you share, as described above.
HubSong staff: only authorised staff who need it, for example to help users, review driver documents, check top-ups and payouts, moderate content and handle safety issues.
Service providers that help us run HubSong:
Google — Google Maps Platform shows maps, finds places and calculates routes and travel times (it receives map views, the places you search for and trip coordinates). Firebase Cloud Storage stores the photos, videos and documents you upload (chat and post media, top-up slips, driver documents and payout QR codes, support attachments). Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers notifications to Android devices. Google's STUN servers help connect in-app calls; they see your device's IP address but not the call audio.
Apple — Apple Push Notification service delivers notifications to iPhones.
Expo (650 Industries, Inc.) — passes our notifications on to Apple and Google, and delivers app updates to your device. A notification can contain a preview of a chat message.
DigitalOcean — hosts the servers and databases that run HubSong.
Twilio — sends one-time codes by SMS (it receives your phone number and the code).
Resend — sends one-time codes by email (it receives your email address and the code).
GIPHY — provides GIF search in comments. When you use it, the app sends your search terms straight from your device to GIPHY (they do not pass through HubSong's servers), and GIPHY also receives your device's IP address.
Mixkit — the ready-made sound clips you can add to posts and stories are loaded from Mixkit (assets.mixkit.co). Whenever your device plays one, Mixkit receives your device's IP address.
Authorities and legal requirements: when the law or a valid legal order requires it, or when necessary to protect someone's safety, prevent fraud, or protect the rights of HubSong and our users.
Business transfers: if HubSong is merged with or transferred to another company, your information will be transferred under the protections of this policy.
Every service provider, and any company related to AKAT Solution that helps operate HubSong, that receives your data may use it only to provide its service to us, and must provide the same or equal protection of your data as stated in this Privacy Policy.
6. Where your data is stored and how we protect it
Your data is stored on servers in data centres operated by DigitalOcean and Google, which may be located outside the Lao PDR. We protect it as described in this policy wherever it is stored. We use appropriate safeguards such as HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, restricted staff access, hashed passwords, sign-in tokens kept in your device's secure storage, and encrypted calls. No system is completely secure; if you think someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us right away.
7. How long we keep data
Account and profile: while your account exists. When you delete your account, see section 8.
Location points: deleted automatically after 90 days.
Trips, receipts, wallet transactions, top-up slips and payout records: for as long as accounting and tax laws require, and as needed to handle disputes and fraud.
Driver verification documents: while you drive with HubSong, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, safety and dispute purposes.
Chats, call records, posts and comments: while your account exists, unless removed earlier through moderation. Stories and notes are shown for 24 hours.
Support requests and reports: as long as needed to resolve them and to keep a record of how they were handled.
Push tokens and technical logs: only as long as needed to deliver notifications and keep the service secure.
When we no longer need data, we delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app: Account tab → Settings → under Account, tap Delete account, read what will happen and confirm.
What happens immediately: you are signed out on all devices; your name, phone number, email address and username are removed from the account; the account can no longer be used; and posts you left behind show as “Deleted User”.
What we keep: trip history, receipts and wallet transaction records are kept as accounting law requires, but are no longer linked to your name, phone number or email. Messages you already sent remain visible to the people you sent them to. Driver documents are kept as described in section 7, and we keep records of reports and moderation decisions as evidence.
Any wallet balance and points left over become unusable and are not refunded — withdraw or spend them first.
To ask us to delete remaining data (for example posts, chats, driver documents or support requests), send a request in the app before you delete your account: Account tab → Help → Report an issue, which opens a chat with our team. After deleting your account, or if you cannot sign in, contact us through the Help center at https://hubsong.sokdee.app/help or email support@hubsong.sokdee.app with the phone number you registered with. We will act within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep the data or we need it to resolve a dispute, a safety issue or a fraud investigation.
9. Your choices, your rights and withdrawing consent
See and correct your data: change your display name and username in Settings → Edit profile; see your trips, wallet and posts in the app.
Get a copy, or ask us to delete, restrict or stop using your data: send a request in the app (Account tab → Help → Report an issue), or contact us through the Help center at https://hubsong.sokdee.app/help or by email at support@hubsong.sokdee.app. We will verify that the request comes from you and reply within 30 days.
Withdraw app permissions: on iPhone, go to Settings → HubSong and turn off Location, Camera, Photos, Microphone or Notifications. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → HubSong → Permissions or Notifications. You can turn off Face ID unlock in HubSong's Settings.
Drivers: go Offline to stop background location collection.
News and offers: the “News and offers” switch in Settings → Notifications stays off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time. Notifications about orders, chats, calls and your account are part of the service; you can turn them off in your device's notification settings.
Stop sharing a trip link at any time, and block, mute or report other users in the app.
Delete your account as described in section 8.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before, and features that need the permission will stop working (for example, drivers cannot receive nearby jobs with location turned off). If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first; you also have the right to complain to the relevant authority in the Lao PDR.
10. Children
HubSong is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, use HubSong only with the permission of a parent or guardian. Drivers must hold a valid driving licence. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we will let you know in the app.
12. Contact us
